Frances Willard Elementary School is located at 2503 9th Street, Rock Island.

Regular Schedule:

Breakfast: 8:00-8:30 a.m.
Start: 8:30 a.m.
Dismissal: 3:00 p.m.

There are no Early Out Wednesdays at Frances Willard. Dismissal time on Wednesday is 3:00 p.m. 

Calendar

The Rock Island-Milan School District operates on a modified year-round calendar.  School starts in early August, and students have 2-week breaks in the fall, winter, and spring.

Enrollment

According to the Illinois School Report Card there were 335 students enrolled in 2019.  The average class size was 29. 

Core Academics
Instruction is based on the Common Core State Standards.

Breakfast/Lunch Programs

A hot breakfast and lunch are provided to Frances Willard students at no cost.Students bringing a sack lunch may purchase milk for $.40.

After-Care Programs

Spring Forward Learning Center provides after school learning programs.

Recent and Planned Upgrades

Frances Willard has a complete climate control system for heating and cooling. The parking lot was also recently resurfaced. In 2010, Frances Willard has received new additions and renovations as part of the Building Excellence plan:

Conflict Resolution or PBIS (Positive Behavior In Schools)

We develop or select weekly cool tool lessons, provide positive reinforcement, and plan quarterly integrity celebrations to help staff and students work toward PBIS goals.

Safety, Parking, Crossing Guards

There is a regular drop-off routine at Frances Willard. The school also has an adult crossing guard. There is no on-site parking for parents.
